The red car is a 1962 Apal Porsche 1600 GT Coupe prototype, and it just sold at RM auctions in Arizona. It only brought $88,000. Considering that all things vintage Porsche have gone through the roof lately, including every underpowered variant of the 356, I find that pretty shocking for a one-off that isn’t that bad looking. One pre-sale estimate was $350,000. The giveaway that it was a Porsche was the center-mounted fuel cap and the general resemblance to the 901 race car, but I was lucky to find it even with that guess. http://www.rmsothebys.com/az16/arizona/l…
The last car is a Daimler DS 420—sister car to Jaguar’s better looking 420G, but apparently they made this misshapen thing up into the 1980s as a 1983 model was at Auctions America a few years back (on their website), whereas I think the Jag died off in or shortly after the 1960s.
Loved the shot of the Lagonda, I have had my interest in the revived recently. If you like oddball stuff, be sure to visit the Tampa Automotive Museum if you are on Florida’s west coast, small but packed with interesting stuff.

I wouldn’t imagine. Esperante is a cool name, though. They should just redesign it. The whole customize-absolutely-everything idea is great, it’s just a really ugly car.

I’m sorry! I was super stealthy when I was there — I love meeting people at cars and coffee but I was on vacation with my girlfriend and wanted to keep it just us.
Did you see that P1800 had 300ZX wheels? I successfully convinced several of my friends that it was a 300ZX underneath. Hahaha.
